The client’s brief was to transform a neglected back garden space into a stylish contemporary courtyard garden with a home office (designed & built by Shomera) as a focal point.
Natural drystone walling in grey quartz was used to add interest and texture to the garden. A sense of lightness and flow was created by the cream Egyptian limestone paving that was continued on the raised planters and small feature wall designed to provide outdoor seating. A modern bespoke steel pergola softened by wisteria offers framed views of the garden from the back of the house, while adding an architectural feature to the space that mirrors the Shomera home office at the opposite end of the garden. This beautiful, clean contemporary look was completed by the wooden boundary fencing in painted soft grey, and a muted planting palette that includes salvias, olive trees and acanthus.
